We are looking for a new external Technical Sales Engineer/ Business Development Manager to cover the UK & Ireland

Competitive salary depending on experience plus commission with car and usual benefits

The role will concentrate on the development of sales – working closely with marketing – to increase our existing customer base. To develop new business opportunities and increase sales in line with business objectives whilst ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

AW Precision are a very well established engineering manufacturer within the precision machining and toolmaking industry having CNC Turning, grinding, milling and Centreless / Cylindrical grinding along with in-house heat treatment. Press workers / Toolmakers, OEM and 1st & 2nd tier automotive manufactures. They supply low volume precision parts to a wide range of companies and industries.

KEY ACTIVITIES

To acquire new contacts and interact with customers on a face to face basis to produce tangible results

Primarily field based with regular strategy review and performance update meetings with MD and management team.

To obtain new business to increase annual turnover

To update and maintain sales presentations and marketing material/media

Prepare and carry out sales presentations

Maintain a contact register database via CRM using latest mobile technology

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be a dynamic and motivated individual with an excellent engineering / toolmaking understanding and the ability to present themselves in a professional business-like manner. The ability to listen, problem solve and provide engineering solutions will be integral to the role. You will possess a personable nature with good communication skills, both verbal and written together with excellent presenting, organisational and report writing skills. You will be a highly motivated and determined individual with the ability to work on their own or within a team.

JOB TRAINING SPECIFICATION

Entry Requirements desired but not essential

• Good basic education in Maths and English.

• Must have a sound foundation in engineering/ toolmaking and be confident with the manufacturing processes.

• 3 years previous engineering sales and negotiating experience

• Understanding of Product Costing together with Engineering drawings and CAD applications.

• PC literate including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

• Have the ability to plan, organise and prioritise a varied range of work.
