AW Precision Limited
Making It Happen
AW Precision Limited are a Made in the Midlands Gold Member
The latest Made in the Midlands breakfast event was hosted by AW Precision Limited on Thursday 9th February at their 5,110 square metre factory in Rugby, Warwickshire.
AW Precision is a family business that, since its inception in 1972, has developed from a company that started with one machine to a company which is now the leading manufacturer of punch and die products and components throughout Europe.
AW Precision’s rapid development has been achieved by continually investing in the latest technology such as high precision CNC turning, grinding and E.D.M. capability together with computerised, fully documented, vacuum heat treatment processing.
Guests were supplied with a fantastic range of donuts, sausage and bacon baps and customized gift bags at the end of the event as a courteous thank you for attending. Business Development Manager of AW Precision, Andy Whitworth said: “It was an absolutely fantastic turnout and quality of the customers through the door. For me, in a BDM role I can see two to three people in a day but I’ve seen so many more today and I have already got enquiries so it is worth its weight in gold.”
AW Precision were hosting their breakfast event for the very first time, yet guests were left in high spirits following the company presentation and extensive factory tour. Andy advised companies who are set to host an event for the first time: “Just do it your own way. We did it our way as this is our company so we showcased the company to the guests today and it has been a great success.”
The company uses the latest technology and reliable methods to produce a comprehensive range of products quickly and efficiently from a wide selection of materials. All grades of steel are used and functional life is extended by heat treatments and material coatings. Their sales and production teams have skills ranging from CAD design through to manufacturing methods and problem solving.
Made in the Midlands breakfast events aim to facilitate networking and business opportunities between MD’s and CEO’s of local manufacturing companies, as Andy stated: “These events are absolutely key. People’s time is precious, so it’s nice to get people out of their factories and offices into a bit of a neutral environment to discuss things. I think it has been really good and very worthwhile. It’s nothing like just a coffee morning, it’s a fantastic networking event.”
Our next breakfast event will take place at Torus Technology Group in Telford, West Midlands and tickets have already sold out due to popular demand. You can still register tickets to our future breakfast events at Hexagon Metrology, Boneham and Turner, Carrs Tool Steels and I M Kelly Automotive by visiting our events page here.
In the upcoming weeks, we will be sending out detailed updates regarding our Made in the Midlands Exhibition. This year, the event will be hosted at the Ricoh Arena and we are set to welcome over 2,000 guests with 200 exhibitors including AW Precision. Andy concluded: “We’ve done previous Made in the Midlands exhibitions before and they have been really good, as it’s another great chance to speak to our customers.”
